Quarterback Aaron Rodgers had one of the worst halves of his career in the first half Sunday, completing only seven of his 14 attempts for 64 yards, with no touchdowns. Despite that, the Green Bay Packers lead the Cincinnati Bengals 16-14 at the half.
The Bengal defense has swarmed Rodgers, and has three sacks at the half. Rodgers has completed passes to five different receivers, but no single guy has more than two receptions. He also has a single rush for two yards.
Fantasy impact: Rodgers entered this game without starting running back Eddie Lacy, and lost tight end Jermichael Finley early as well — both guys with concussions. Between those losses and the fact that the Bengals have a strong defense to begin with, it’s easy to understand why Rodgers might have struggled.
That said, it’s still Aaron Rodgers, and he still has Jordy Nelson, James Jones, and Randall Cobb.
