CBS Sports ranked guard Cyril Richardson as Baylor’s top NFL prospect.

Even though the college football season has yet to start, some publications are already looking forward to the next NFL draft. South Carolina’s Jadeveon Clowney is deservedly getting all of the hype, but other players, including ones from Baylor, are also in the mix for the next draft.

CBS Sports ranked the top 1000 players and Baylor’s Cyril Richardson is the highest Bear ranked, coming in at No. 13. He’s also the top ranked guard out of the whole list. He’s also slotted as a first round choice. If that were to happen he’d be Baylor’s sixth first-round draft pick in five years.

Rankings don’t always correlate with draft position, but if Richardson were to go 13th overall in the NFL draft, he’d be the sixth highest pick in team history, according to theredzone.org.

Rotoworld also has Richardson as the top guard prospect, but has him as the 46th best prospect.
