Adam Muema

After his monstrous 2012 season, Adam Muema is on track to go down as one of the best running backs in San Diego State history.
And that’s saying something because this is the school that produced Marshall Faulk and Ronnie Hillman.
Muema split time pretty evenly with Walter Kazee in 2012, but he still managed to churn out 1,458 rushing yards – the third-highest ever by an Aztec sophomore.
(No prizes for guessing the No. 1 and No. 2 backs on that list.)
Muema enters 2013 as a preseason All-Mountain West first team selection, and is also on the Doak Walker and Maxwell Award preseason watchlists. He needs only 1,100 yards to break into the Aztecs’ top five rushing yards list. If his junior campaign is anything like his sophomore one was, that should not be a problem.
The Aztecs want to be a more efficient passing team in 2013, but Muema should still get plenty of work, especially because he’ll be SDSU’s feature back this year.
This offseason, Muema also worked on his hands because he wants to become more involved in the passing game.
